1Those who live in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my safe place and my strong tower; my God, in whom I trust.'
3For He will rescue you from the traps of the fowler and from the deadly disease.
4He will cover you with His feathers, and you will find protection under His wings. His faithfulness is your shield and strong defense.
5You will not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
6nor the disease that moves in the darkness, nor the destruction that strikes at midday.
7Even if a thousand fall beside you and ten thousand at your right hand, it will not come near you.
8You will only watch with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
9Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place,
10no harm will come to you, and no disease will come near your home.
11For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.
12They will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13You will walk on lions and cobras; you will trample young lions and serpents.
14“Because he loves me, I will rescue him. I will protect him because he knows my name.
15When he calls out to me, I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will rescue him and bring him honor.
16I will give him a long life and show him my salvation.”
