1For the Music Director. A Psalm by the descendants of Korah. Yahweh, you have been good to your land. You have made Jacob’s nation strong again.
2You have forgiven your people’s sins. You have covered all their wrongdoing. Think about that.
3You stopped being angry. You turned away from your strong anger.
4Restore us, God our rescuer, and stop being upset with us.
5Will you be angry with us forever? Will your anger last for all generations?
6Won’t you give us new life again, so your people can be happy in you?
7Show us your faithful love, Yahweh. Give us your salvation.
8I will listen to what God, Yahweh, says, because he will speak peace to his people, his holy ones; but they must not return to foolish ways.
9Surely his salvation is near those who respect him, so that glory may live in our land.
10Mercy and truth come together. Goodness and peace have embraced each other.
11Truth grows from the earth. Goodness has looked down from heaven.
12Yes, Yahweh will give us good things. Our land will produce its crops.
13Goodness goes before him and prepares the way for his steps.
