Chapter 26

Songs and prayers for every feeling.

By David. Yahweh, judge me, because I have lived with integrity. I have also trusted in Yahweh without wavering.

Examine me, Yahweh, and test me. Try my heart and my mind.

Because your loving kindness is what I see, I have walked in your truth.

I have not sat with dishonest men, nor will I associate with hypocrites.

I hate the gatherings of evildoers and will not sit with wicked people.

I will wash my hands as a sign of my innocence, so I can go around your altar, Yahweh;

so I can joyfully sing my thanks and tell about all your amazing acts.

Yahweh, I love the place where you live, the place where your glory resides.

Don't let me die with sinners or with violent people;

whose hands are full of evil, and whose right hands are full of bribes.

But as for me, I will live with integrity. Rescue me and be kind to me.

My feet are standing on solid ground. I will praise Yahweh in the gatherings of people.
