Chapter 25

Songs and prayers for every feeling.

By David. I lift my whole being to you, Yahweh.

My God, I have put my trust in you. Don't let me be shamed. Don't let my enemies celebrate victory over me.

Indeed, no one who waits for you will be shamed. But those who betray others without reason will be shamed.

Yahweh, show me your ways. Teach me your paths.

Guide me with your truth and teach me, because you are the God who saves me. I wait for you all day long.

Yahweh, remember your tender mercies and your faithful love, for they have always existed.

Don't remember the sins of my youth, or my rebellions. Instead, remember me with your faithful love, because of your goodness, Yahweh.

Yahweh is good and does what is right, so he teaches sinners how to live.

He guides humble people to do right and teaches them his way.

All of Yahweh's ways show love and truth to those who keep his agreement and his commands.

Yahweh, because of your reputation, forgive my many sins.

What kind of person respects Yahweh? He will teach that person the path they should choose.

That person will live a good life, and their children will inherit the land.

Yahweh shares his close friendship with those who respect him. He will show them his agreement.

My eyes are always on Yahweh, because he will free me from danger.

Turn to me and show me mercy, because I am lonely and suffering.

My heart's troubles have grown. Oh, get me out of my distress!

Look at my suffering and my hard work. Forgive all my sins.

Look at my enemies, because there are many of them. They hate me with cruel hatred.

Please protect me and rescue me. Don’t let me be disappointed, because I have taken shelter in you.

Let honesty and goodness protect me, because I wait for you.

God, rescue Israel from all its troubles.
