Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
“Take Aaron and his sons with him, along with the garments, the anointing oil, the bull for the sin offering, the two rams, and the basket of unleavened bread.
Then gather the whole community at the entrance of the Meeting Tent.”
Moses did exactly as Yahweh commanded him, and the community gathered at the entrance of the Meeting Tent.
Moses told the community, “This is what Yahweh has commanded to be done.”
Moses brought Aaron and his sons and washed them with water.
He put the tunic on Aaron, tied the sash around him, dressed him with the robe, put the ephod on him, and then tied the skillfully woven band of the ephod around him, securing it in place.
He placed the breastplate on him, and in the breastplate, he put the Urim and the Thummim.
He placed the turban on Aaron's head, and on the front of the turban, he fastened the gold plate, the holy crown, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses.
Moses took the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle and everything in it, consecrating them.
He sprinkled some of it on the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all its utensils, as well as the basin and its stand, to consecrate them.
He poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron’s head and anointed him to consecrate him.
Moses brought Aaron’s sons, dressed them in tunics, tied sashes around them, and put headbands on them, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses.
Moses brought the bull for the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons placed their hands on its head.
He killed the animal. Moses took its blood and put it with his finger on the horns of the altar all around, purifying the altar. Then he poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar, setting it apart to forgive sins.
He took all the fat covering the internal organs, the cover of the liver, and the two kidneys with their fat. Moses then burned them on the altar.
But the bull, its skin, its meat, and its waste materials, he burned with fire outside the camp, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses.
Next, he brought forward the ram for the burnt offering. Aaron and his sons placed their hands on the head of the ram.
He killed it, and Moses sprinkled its blood all around on the altar.
He cut the ram into pieces, and Moses burned the head, the pieces, and the fat.
He washed the internal organs and the legs with water. Then Moses burned the whole ram on the altar. This was a burnt offering, a pleasing smell, an offering made by fire to Yahweh, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses.
He then presented the other ram, the ram for consecration. Aaron and his sons placed their hands on the head of the ram.
He killed it, and Moses took some of its blood and put it on the tip of Aaron's right ear, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.
He brought Aaron's sons forward. Moses put some of the blood on the tip of their right ear, on the thumb of their right hand, and on the big toe of their right foot. Moses also sprinkled the rest of the blood around on the altar.
He took the fat, the fat tail, all the fat that was on the internal organs, the cover of the liver, the two kidneys, their fat, and the right thigh.
From the basket of unleavened bread that was before Yahweh, he took one unleavened cake, one cake of oiled bread, and one wafer. He placed them on the fat and on the right thigh.
He put all these into Aaron's hands and his sons' hands, and waved them back and forth as a wave offering before Yahweh.
Moses took them from their hands and burned them on the altar on top of the burnt offering. This was part of the consecration, a pleasing smell. It was an offering made by fire to Yahweh.
Moses took the breast and waved it back and forth as a wave offering before Yahweh. This was Moses' portion from the ram of consecration, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses.
Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood that was on the altar. He sprinkled it on Aaron and his garments, and on his sons and their garments, setting apart Aaron, his garments, his sons, and their garments.
Moses said to Aaron and his sons, 'Boil the meat at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting. Eat it there along with the bread from the basket of consecration, just as I commanded: "Aaron and his sons shall eat it."'
You must burn with fire any remaining meat and bread.
You must not leave the entrance of the Tent of Meeting for seven days, until the days of your consecration are completed. For he will consecrate you for seven days.
What was done today is what Yahweh commanded to do, to make things right for you.
You must stay at the entrance of the Meeting Tent day and night for seven days and obey Yahweh’s command, so you don’t die. For this is what I have been commanded.
Aaron and his sons did everything Yahweh commanded through Moses.
