1If his offering is a fellowship offering, and he offers an animal from the herd, whether male or female, it must be without defect when he presents it before Yahweh.
2He must place his hand on the head of his offering and kill it at the entrance of the Meeting Tent. Aaron’s sons, the priests, will sprinkle the blood around on the altar.
3From the fellowship offering, he must present an offering made by fire to Yahweh: the fat that covers the internal organs and all the fat on the internal organs,
4both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the fatty lobe of the liver, which he must remove with the kidneys.
5Aaron’s sons will burn it on the altar, on top of the burnt offering which is on the wood on the fire. It is an offering made by fire, a pleasing smell to Yahweh.
6If his fellowship offering to Yahweh is an animal from the flock, whether male or female, it must be without defect.
7If he offers a lamb for his offering, then he must present it before Yahweh.
8He must place his hand on the head of his offering and kill it in front of the Meeting Tent. Aaron’s sons will sprinkle its blood around on the altar.
9From the fellowship offering, he must present an offering made by fire to Yahweh: its fat, the entire fat tail, which he must remove close to the backbone; and the fat that covers the internal organs, and all the fat on the internal organs,
10and both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the fatty lobe of the liver, which he must remove with the kidneys.
11The priest will burn it on the altar. It is food for the offering made by fire to Yahweh.
12If his offering is a goat, then he must present it before Yahweh.
13The person must lay a hand on the animal's head, and then kill it in front of the Meeting Tent. Aaron's sons will then sprinkle its blood all around on the altar.
14As his offering to Yahweh, he must present from it an offering made by fire: the fat that covers the internal organs, and all the fat attached to the internal organs,
15both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the fatty lobe of the liver, which he must remove along with the kidneys.
16The priest will burn them on the altar. It is food for an offering made by fire, a pleasing aroma. All the fat belongs to Yahweh.
17This is a permanent law for you and your descendants, wherever you live: you must not eat any fat or any blood."
