“Hey! Everyone who is thirsty, come to the water! Come, even if you have no money, buy and eat! Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.
Why do you spend money on things that are not bread, and work for what doesn't satisfy you? Listen carefully to me, and eat what is good, and let your soul enjoy rich food.
Listen to me and come to me. Listen, and your soul will live. I will make an everlasting agreement with you, just like the reliable promises I made to David.
Look, I made him a witness to the nations, a leader and commander for the nations.
Look, you will call a nation you don't know, and a nation that didn't know you will run to you, because of Yahweh your God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he has honored you.”
Seek Yahweh while he can be found. Call on him while he is near.
Let wicked people stop their ways, and unrighteous people stop their thoughts. Let them return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on them; and to our God, for he will freely forgive.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh.
“Just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
For just as the rain and snow come down from the sky and don't return there, but water the earth, making it grow and sprout, and giving seed to the farmer and bread to the hungry,
so is my word that comes from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but it will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
You will go out with joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
Instead of thorns, cypress trees will grow, and instead of prickly bushes, myrtle trees will grow. This will bring fame to Yahweh, as an everlasting sign that will never be destroyed.”
