Yahweh says: “Moab has sinned three times, and even a fourth, so I will not cancel their punishment. This is because they burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime.
but I will send fire on Moab, and it will destroy the palaces of Kerioth; and Moab will die with a commotion, with shouting, and with the sound of a trumpet;
and I will remove the ruler from among them, and will kill all its princes along with him,” says Yahweh.
Yahweh says: “For three sins of Judah, and even for four, I will not hold back their punishment; because they have rejected Yahweh’s law, and have not obeyed his commands, and their lies have led them astray, just as their ancestors followed after those lies;
But I will send fire on Judah, and it will destroy the palaces of Jerusalem.”
Yahweh says: “For three sins of Israel, and even for four, I will not hold back their punishment; because they have sold innocent people for silver, and the poor for the price of a pair of sandals;
They push the poor down to the dust of the earth and deny justice to the oppressed; and a man and his father sleep with the same young woman, bringing shame to my holy name;
and they lie down by every altar on clothes taken as security for a loan; and in the temple of their God, they drink wine bought with money from fines.
Yet I destroyed the Amorites before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and they were as strong as oaks; yet I destroyed their fruit from above, and their roots from beneath.
Also, I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and led you forty years in the wilderness, to take possession of the land of the Amorites.
I raised up some of your sons to be prophets, and some of your young men to be Nazirites. Isn’t this true, people of Israel?” says Yahweh.
“But you gave the Nazirites wine to drink, and commanded the prophets, saying, ‘Don’t prophesy!’
Look, I will crush you where you are, just as a cart full of grain crushes things.
The swift will not be able to escape; the strong will not be able to use their strength; nor will the mighty be able to save themselves;
nor will the archer be able to stand; the swift runner will not escape; nor will the one on horseback save himself;
and the bravest among the warriors will run away naked on that day,” says Yahweh.
