Look, a day is coming from Yahweh when your loot will be divided right there among you.
For I will gather all nations to fight against Jerusalem. The city will be captured, the houses plundered, and the women raped. Half of the city will go into captivity, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city.
Then Yahweh will go out and fight against those nations, just as he has fought in past battles.
On that day, his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is located east of Jerusalem. The Mount of Olives will split in two from east to west, creating a very large valley. Half of the mountain will move north, and the other half will move south.
You will escape through the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach all the way to Azel. Yes, you will escape, just as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah, king of Judah. Yahweh my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.
On that day, there will be no light, cold, or frost.
It will be a unique day, known only to Yahweh; it will not be day or night, but in the evening, there will be light.
On that day, fresh water will flow out from Jerusalem. Half of it will flow to the Eastern Sea and half to the Western Sea, both in summer and in winter.
Yahweh will be King over all the earth. On that day, Yahweh will be recognized as one, and his name as one.
The entire land will become flat, like the Arabah, from Geba to Rimmon, south of Jerusalem. Jerusalem will be raised up and will remain in its place, from Benjamin’s Gate to the site of the First Gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king’s wine presses.
People will live there, and there will no longer be any curse. Jerusalem will live in safety.
This is the plague with which Yahweh will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: their flesh will rot while they are still standing, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths.
On that day, a great panic from Yahweh will spread among them. Everyone will grab their neighbor’s hand, and they will fight against each other.
Judah will also fight in Jerusalem, and the wealth of all the surrounding nations will be gathered: gold, silver, and clothing in great abundance.
The same plague will also strike the horses, mules, camels, donkeys, and all other animals in those camps.
It will happen that everyone who is left from all the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, Yahweh of Armies, and to celebrate the Feast of Tents.
If any of the families of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, Yahweh of Armies, they will receive no rain.
If the people of Egypt do not go up and participate, then no rain will fall on them. This will be the disaster Yahweh sends on all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Shelters.
This will be the punishment for Egypt and the punishment for all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Shelters.
On that day, the bells on the horses will say, 'HOLY TO YAHWEH.' And the cooking pots in Yahweh's temple will be as sacred as the bowls used in front of the altar.
Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and Judah will be holy to Yahweh of Armies. Everyone who offers sacrifices will come and use them to cook their offerings. On that day, there will no longer be an outsider in the temple of Yahweh of Armies.
