But as for you, speak what is consistent with sound doctrine.
Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love, and in endurance.
Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or enslaved to much wine, but to teach what is good.
Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children,
to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.
Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled.
In everything, show yourself an example of good works. In your teaching, show integrity, seriousness, and incorruptibility.
Speak sound words that no one can criticize. Then anyone who opposes you will be embarrassed, having nothing bad to say about us.
Tell servants to obey their own masters and to please them in every way. They should not talk back,
nor should they steal. Instead, they should always show complete loyalty so that they can make the teaching about God our Savior attractive in every way.
For God’s grace has appeared, offering salvation to all people.
It trains us to reject ungodly living and worldly desires. Instead, we should live sensible, morally upright, and godly lives in this present world.
We eagerly wait for the realization of our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He gave himself for us to free us from all wickedness and to purify a special people for himself, who are eager to do good.
State these things, and encourage and correct with full authority. Don't let anyone look down on you.
