By Solomon. God, give the king your justice, and your righteousness to the royal son.
He will judge your people fairly and your poor with justice.
The mountains will bring prosperity to the people. The hills will bring the fruit of righteousness.
He will judge the poor among the people. He will rescue the children of the needy and crush their oppressors.
People will respect you as long as the sun and moon exist, for all generations.
He will be like rain falling on a mown field, like showers watering the earth.
During his time, good people will thrive, and there will be abundant peace until the moon is no more.
He will rule from sea to sea, from the River to the ends of the earth.
Those who live in the wilderness will bow before him. His enemies will be completely defeated.
Kings from Tarshish and the islands will bring him tribute. Kings from Sheba and Seba will offer him gifts.
Yes, all kings will bow down to him. All nations will serve him.
Because he will rescue the needy person who cries out for help; he will save the poor who has no one to assist him.
He will show pity to the poor and needy. He will save their lives.
He will free them from oppression and violence. Their lives will be precious to him.
They will live, and he will be given gold from Sheba. People will pray for him constantly. They will bless him all day long.
There will be plenty of grain throughout the land. Its crops will wave like the cedars of Lebanon. Let the cities flourish like the grass of the field.
His name will endure forever. His reputation will last as long as the sun. People will be blessed through him. All nations will call him blessed.
Praise Yahweh God, the God of Israel, who alone performs amazing deeds.
Blessed be his glorious name forever! Let his glory fill the whole earth! Amen and Amen.
This concludes the prayers of David, son of Jesse.
