1God, defend me and argue my case against an ungodly nation. Please rescue me from dishonest and wicked people.
2For you are the God who gives me strength. Why have you rejected me? Why do I go around in mourning because of the enemy's oppression?
3Please send out your light and your truth. Let them guide me. Let them bring me to your holy mountain, to your dwelling place.
4Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my greatest joy. I will praise you with the harp, God, my God.
5Why are you so sad, my soul? Why are you so troubled within me? Put your hope in God! For I will still praise him: my Savior, my helper, and my God.
