1<b>For the music director. By David.</b> Foolish people say to themselves, “There is no God.” They are immoral. They do terrible things. No one does what is good.
2Yahweh looked down from heaven at humanity, to see if anyone understood or sought after God.
3Everyone has turned away. Together, they have become corrupt. No one does good, not even one.
4Don’t those who do evil understand? They devour my people as if they were eating bread, and they don’t pray to Yahweh.
5But then they were terrified, because God is with the current generation of righteous people.
6You try to ruin the plans of the poor, but Yahweh is their safe place.
7Oh, that salvation for Israel would come from Zion! When Yahweh makes his people prosperous again, then Jacob will celebrate, and Israel will be joyful.
