1<b>For the music director. A Psalm by David.</b> How long, Yahweh? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
2How long must I worry constantly, with sadness in my heart every day? How long will my enemy win against me?
3Look at me and answer, Yahweh, my God. Give light to my eyes, so I don't die;
4so my enemy doesn't say, “I have defeated him”; so my opponents don't celebrate when I fall.
5But I trust in your unfailing love. My heart celebrates your salvation.
6I will sing to Yahweh, because he has been good to me.
