Psalms

Chapter 108

Songs and prayers for every feeling.

A Song. A Psalm by David. My heart is firm, God. I will sing and make music with all my being.

Wake up, harp and lyre! I will wake up the dawn.

I will thank you, Yahweh, among the nations. I will sing praises to you among the peoples.

Because your faithful love is greater than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

Be honored, God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth.

So that your beloved people can be rescued, save us with your strong hand and answer us.

God has spoken from his holy place: "Triumphant, I will divide Shechem and measure out the Valley of Succoth.

Gilead is mine. Manasseh is mine. Ephraim is my helmet. Judah is my royal scepter.

Moab is my washbasin; I will throw my sandal on Edom. I will shout in triumph over Philistia.

Who will bring me into the strong city? Who has led me to Edom?

Haven't you rejected us, God? You no longer march with our armies.

Help us against the enemy, because human help is useless.

With God's help, we will do great things, for he will trample our enemies.
