1Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
2"Also, tell the people of Israel, 'If any Israelite or any foreigner living in Israel sacrifices his child to Molech, he must be put to death. The people of the land must stone him.
3I myself will turn against that person and remove him from his people, because he has sacrificed his child to Molech, defiling my holy place and dishonoring my holy name.
4And if the people of the land ignore that person when he sacrifices his child to Molech, and they do not put him to death,
5then I will turn against that man and his family. I will remove him and everyone who follows him in sacrificing to Molech from their people.
6If anyone consults mediums or wizards, I will turn against that person and remove him from his people.
7Therefore, make yourselves holy and be holy, because I am Yahweh your God.
8You must obey my laws and follow them. I am Yahweh, who makes you holy.
9Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death. Since he has cursed his father or mother, he is responsible for his own death.'
10If a man commits adultery with another man's wife, both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.
11If a man has sexual relations with his father's wife, he has dishonored his father. Both of them must be put to death; they are responsible for their own deaths.
12“If a man has sexual relations with his daughter-in-law, both of them must be put to death. They have committed a repulsive act, and they are responsible for their own deaths.
13“If a man has sexual relations with another man as he would with a woman, both of them have committed a forbidden act. They must be put to death, and they are responsible for their own deaths.
14“If a man marries both a woman and her mother, that is evil. All three of them—the man, the woman, and her mother—must be burned to death, so that such evil does not exist among you.
15“If a man has sexual relations with an animal, he must be put to death, and you must also kill the animal.
16“If a woman approaches any animal and lies down with it, you must kill both the woman and the animal. They must be put to death, and they are responsible for their own deaths.
17“If a man marries his sister, whether she is his father’s daughter or his mother’s daughter, and they have sexual relations, it is a disgraceful thing. They will be removed from among their people. He has exposed his sister’s private parts and must face the consequences of his sin.
18“If a man has sexual relations with a woman during her monthly period and exposes her private parts, he has uncovered the source of her flow, and she has uncovered the source of her blood. Both of them will be cut off from their people.
19“You must not have sexual relations with your mother’s sister or your father’s sister, because that would be exposing a close relative’s private parts. They must face the consequences of their sin.
20If a man has sexual relations with his uncle’s wife, he has exposed his uncle’s private parts. They will suffer the consequences of their sin and will die childless.
21“If a man marries his brother’s wife, it is an impure act. He has exposed his brother’s private parts. They will be childless.
22“Therefore, you must obey all my rules and laws and follow them. Then the land where I am bringing you to live will not reject you.
23You must not follow the customs of the nations I am driving out before you. They did all these things, and that is why I detested them.
24But I have told you, “You will inherit their land, and I will give it to you to own—a land flowing with milk and honey.” I am Yahweh your God, who has set you apart from other nations.
25“Therefore, you must distinguish between clean animals and unclean animals, and between clean birds and unclean birds. You must not make yourselves detestable by eating any animal, bird, or creature that swarms on the ground, which I have declared unclean for you.
26You must be holy to me, because I, Yahweh, am holy, and I have set you apart from other nations to be my own.
27“Any man or woman who is a medium or a sorcerer must be put to death. They must be stoned to death, and they are responsible for their own deaths.”
