Then Yahweh answered Job,
“Will the one who argues with the Almighty correct him? Let the one who accuses God answer him.”
Then Job answered Yahweh,
“Look, I am unimportant. How can I answer you? I will put my hand over my mouth.
I have spoken once, and I will not answer again; I have spoken twice, but I will not say anything more.”
Then Yahweh answered Job from the whirlwind,
“Prepare yourself like a man. I will ask you questions, and you will answer me.
Will you really declare my judgment invalid? Will you condemn me so that you can appear righteous?
Or do you have an arm like God? Can you thunder with a voice like his?
“Now adorn yourself with glory and splendor. Clothe yourself with honor and majesty.
Unleash the full force of your anger. Look at every proud person and bring them low.
Look at every proud person and humiliate them. Crush the wicked right where they stand.
Bury them all in the dust together. Imprison them in the grave.
Then I will confess to you that your own right hand can save you.
“Look at Behemoth, which I made just as I made you. It eats grass like an ox.
See its strength in its loins. Its power is in the muscles of its belly.
It stiffens its tail like a cedar tree. The tendons of its thighs are tightly woven.
Its bones are like bronze pipes. Its limbs are like iron bars.
It is the first of God’s creations. Its Maker can approach it with his sword.
The mountains provide food for it, where all the wild animals play.
It lies under the lotus plants, hidden in the reeds and swamps.
The lotus plants cover it with their shade. The willows by the stream surround it.
If a river floods, it is not afraid. It remains confident even if the Jordan overflows to its mouth.
Can anyone capture it while it is watching, or pierce its nose with a snare?
