Again I looked up and saw four chariots coming out from between two mountains. These mountains were made of bronze.
The first chariot had red horses, and the second chariot had black horses.
The third chariot had white horses, and the fourth chariot had strong, dappled horses.
Then I asked the angel who was talking with me, “What are these, my master?”
The angel answered me, “These are the four winds of the sky, which go out after standing before the Lord of the whole earth.”
The one with the black horses goes out toward the north country; the white horses went out after them; and the dappled horses went out toward the south country.”
The strong horses went out, eager to go and move throughout the earth. And he said, “Go throughout the earth!” So they moved throughout the earth.
Then he called to me and spoke to me, saying, “Look, those who go toward the north country have brought peace to my spirit in the north country.”
The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
“Take offerings from the exiles—from Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah. Go the same day to the house of Josiah son of Zephaniah, where they have come from Babylon.
Yes, take silver and gold, and make crowns. Place them on the head of Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest.
Then tell him, ‘Yahweh of Armies says: “Look, the man whose name is the Branch will grow up from his place, and he will build Yahweh’s temple.
It is he who will build Yahweh’s temple. He will wear royal honor, and will sit and rule on his throne. There will also be a priest on his throne, and a peaceful agreement will exist between the two roles.”
The crowns will be for Helem, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Hen son of Zephaniah, as a memorial in Yahweh’s temple.
Those who are far away will come and build on Yahweh’s temple. Then you will know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you. This will happen if you diligently obey the voice of Yahweh your God.’”
