Do you truly speak what is right, you silenced ones? Do you judge fairly, you human beings?
No, in your hearts you plan injustice; on earth, you deal out violence with your own hands.
Wicked people go astray from birth; they lie and wander off as soon as they are born.
Their venom is like a snake's poison, like a deaf cobra that stops its ears,
which doesn’t listen to the voice of charmers, no matter how skilled the charmer may be.
God, break the teeth in their mouths. Yahweh, break out the fangs of the young lions.
Let them vanish like water that flows away. When they aim their bows, let their arrows lose their tips.
Let them be like a snail that melts away as it moves, like a baby born dead that never saw the sun.
Before your cooking pots can even feel the heat of the burning thorns, he will sweep away both the green wood and the burning coals.
Good people will be glad when they see the punishment. They will wash their feet in the blood of the wicked;
so that people will say, “There is certainly a reward for good people. There is certainly a God who judges the earth.”
