1Praise Yahweh! Sing a new song to Yahweh, sing his praise in the gathering of his loyal followers.
2Let Israel be happy in their Creator. Let the people of Zion be joyful in their King.
3Let them praise his name with dancing! Let them sing praises to him with tambourine and harp!
4Because Yahweh is pleased with his people. He gives salvation like a crown to those who are humble.
5Let his loyal followers rejoice in their honor. Let them sing with joy even while they rest.
6May they loudly praise God, and may they have a two-edged sword in their hand;
7So they can punish nations and discipline people;
8To tie their kings with chains and their nobles with iron shackles;
9To carry out the judgment written against them. All of God's holy people have this honor. Praise Yah!
