1A Psalm by David. Yahweh says to my Lord, “Sit at my right side until I make your enemies a footrest for your feet.”
2Yahweh will extend your powerful authority from Zion. Rule over your enemies.
3Your people will willingly offer themselves on the day of your power, dressed in holy garments. From birth, you have the fresh dew of your youth.
4Yahweh has made a promise and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the tradition of Melchizedek.”
5The Lord is right beside you. He will defeat kings when he is angry.
6He will judge the nations. He will pile up dead bodies. He will defeat the ruler of the whole earth.
7He will drink from the stream on the way; therefore, he will be victorious.
