Chapter 11

Songs and prayers for every feeling.

1For the music director. By David. I find safety in Yahweh. How can you tell me, “Flee like a bird to your mountain!”

2Look, the wicked bend their bows. They set their arrows on the strings, to shoot in the dark at those with honest hearts.

3If the foundations are destroyed, what can good people do?

4Yahweh is in his holy temple. Yahweh’s throne is in heaven. His eyes watch. His eyes examine everyone.

5Yahweh tests good people, but he hates the wicked and those who love violence.

6He will rain burning coals on the wicked; fire, sulfur, and a scorching wind will be their punishment.

7For Yahweh is fair. He loves fairness. Honest people will see his face.
