Philippians

Chapter 4

Joy no matter what.

So, my brothers and sisters, whom I love and long for, my joy and my crown—stand firm in the Lord, my dear friends.

I strongly urge Euodia and I strongly urge Syntyche to agree with each other in the Lord.

Yes, I also ask you, my true companion, to help these women, because they worked hard with me in spreading the Good News, along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.

Always be joyful in the Lord! I’ll say it again: be joyful!

Let everyone see how gentle you are. The Lord is coming soon.

Don't worry about anything. Instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done.

Then God’s peace, which goes beyond all understanding, will protect your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers and sisters, focus your thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Do what you have learned, received, heard, and seen me do. Then the God of peace will be with you.

I am very happy in the Lord that you have finally shown your concern for me again. You were always concerned, but you didn't have a chance to show it.

I'm not saying this because I need anything, because I have learned to be content whatever my circumstances.

I know what it's like to have little, and I know what it's like to have plenty. I have learned the secret to facing every situation, whether it is being well fed or hungry, having plenty or being in need.

I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength.

Still, you did well to share in my trouble.

And you Philippians know that in the early days of the Good News, when I left Macedonia, no church shared with me financially except you alone.

Even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent help for my needs more than once.

I’m not looking for a gift; instead, I’m looking for the good that builds up your own account.

I have everything I need, and more. I am well supplied, since I received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a sweet-smelling offering, an acceptable sacrifice that pleases God.

And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever! Amen.

Greet every believer in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me send you greetings.

All the believers send you greetings, especially those from Caesar's household.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
