1“For look, the day is coming, burning like a furnace. All the proud and all who do evil will be like straw. The coming day will burn them up completely,” says Yahweh, the Lord of Armies, “leaving them no root or branch.
2But for you who respect my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. You will go out and jump around like calves let out of a stall.
3You will trample the wicked, for they will be like ashes under the soles of your feet on the day I act,” says Yahweh, the Lord of Armies.
4“Remember the law of Moses, my servant, which I commanded him at Horeb for all Israel—laws and rules.
5Look, I will send you the prophet Elijah before the great and terrifying day of Yahweh comes.
6He will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers. Otherwise, I will come and strike the earth with a curse.”
