1Yahweh said to me, “Go again, and love a woman who is loved by another man and is an adulteress. Do this just as Yahweh loves the people of Israel, even though they turn to other gods and love raisin cakes.”
2So I bought her for myself for fifteen pieces of silver and one and a half homers of barley.
3I told her, “You must stay with me for many days. You must not act like a prostitute, and you must not be with any other man. I will also be faithful to you.”
4For the people of Israel will live many days without a king, without a prince, without sacrifices, without sacred stones, and without priestly garments or idols.
5Afterward, the people of Israel will return and seek Yahweh their God and David their king. They will come in awe to Yahweh and to his blessings in the last days.
