Galatians

Chapter 6

Free in Christ, not in rules.

Brothers, if someone is caught doing something wrong, you who are guided by the Spirit should gently help that person get back on track. But be careful, so you aren't tempted yourselves.

Help carry each other’s burdens. In this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.

If people think they are important when they are not, they are fooling themselves.

Everyone should examine their own work. Then they will have a reason to be proud of what they have done, without comparing themselves to others.

Each person must carry their own load.

Those who are taught the word of God should share all good things with their teacher.

Don't be fooled: God cannot be mocked. People will harvest what they plant.

Those who plant seeds in the soil of their sinful nature will harvest decay and death from it. But those who plant seeds in the soil of the Spirit will harvest eternal life from the Spirit.

Let’s not get tired of doing good, because we will receive our harvest at the proper time if we don’t give up.

So then, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone, especially to those who are part of God’s family.

Look at these big letters, written with my own hand!

Those who want to look good outwardly are forcing you to be circumcised. They only do this so they won't be persecuted for believing in the cross of Christ.

For even those who are circumcised don't really obey the law themselves. They want you to be circumcised so they can boast about your physical appearance.

But may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of him, the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

In Christ Jesus, it doesn't matter whether you are circumcised or not. What matters is being a new creation.

May peace and mercy be on all who live by this rule, and on God’s Israel.

From now on, no one should trouble me, because I bear the marks of the Lord Jesus on my body.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen.
