Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
“Look, I have specifically chosen Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, from the tribe of Judah.
I have filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and skill in all kinds of craftsmanship,
to design artistic works, to work with gold, silver, and bronze,
and to cut and set stones, and to carve wood, to work in all kinds of craftsmanship.
Also, I have appointed Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, from the tribe of Dan, to work with him. And I have given wisdom to all who are skilled, so they can make everything I have commanded you:
the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the Testimony, the atonement cover on it, and all the equipment for the tent;
the table and its utensils, the pure lampstand with all its accessories, and the altar of incense;
the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, the basin and its stand;
the specially woven garments—the holy garments for Aaron the priest—and the garments for his sons to wear when they serve as priests;
the anointing oil and the sweet-smelling incense for the holy place. They must do everything I have commanded you.”
Yahweh spoke to Moses:
“Tell the people of Israel, ‘You must certainly keep my Sabbaths, because it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations. This is so you will know that I am Yahweh, who makes you holy.
You must keep the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who treats it as unholy will surely be put to death. Anyone who does any work on that day will be cut off from their people.
You are to work for six days, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to Yahweh. Anyone who does any work on the Sabbath day will surely be put to death.
So the people of Israel must observe the Sabbath, keeping it throughout their generations as a lasting agreement.
It is a permanent sign between me and the people of Israel, because in six days Yahweh made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.’”
When Yahweh finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two stone tablets of the covenant laws, written with God’s own finger.
