1Because of this, I, Paul, am a prisoner for Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles.
2Surely you have heard about the responsibility God gave me, by his grace, to help you.
3It was by a special revelation that God made this secret plan known to me, as I have already written briefly.
4When you read what I wrote, you can understand my insight into the secret plan concerning Christ.
5In earlier generations, this secret was not made known to people, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God's holy apostles and prophets.
6The secret is that through the Good News, the Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the same body, and fellow sharers in his promise in Christ Jesus.
7I became a servant of this Good News because of God's grace that was given to me by his powerful work.
8This grace was given to me, the least of all God's holy people, to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ,
9and to make everyone see how God is administering this secret plan, which for ages was hidden in God, who created everything through Jesus Christ.
10His purpose was that now, through the church, the many-sided wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms.
11This aligns with God's eternal purpose that he accomplished through Christ Jesus our Lord.
12In him, because of our faith in him, we can approach God with confidence and without fear.
13So I ask you not to be discouraged by my sufferings for you, which are actually for your glory.
14Because of this, I kneel before the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15from whom every family in heaven and on earth gets its name.
16I pray that from his glorious riches he will strengthen you with power in your inner being through his Spirit,
17so that Christ may live in your hearts through faith. Then, being rooted and established in love,
18you will be strong enough to understand, along with all God’s people, how wide, long, high, and deep his love is.
19And I pray that you will know Christ’s love, which is greater than anyone can ever know, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is working in us,
21to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
